Parts Crossdeck isn't running yet. Nothing is being cross-referenced today, and there is nothing here to sign up for.

When that changes, this page will say so. We'd rather tell you plainly than put a countdown on it.

What it will do

When a generator, water heater, boat engine or RV furnace fails, the original part is often backordered or priced like it knows you're stuck. An equivalent part usually exists — but which one is buried in old catalogues, service manuals and forum threads, each searchable only one brand at a time.

Parts Crossdeck will take a part number and show you what crosses to it — and where that answer came from. Enter 8M0065103, get the equivalents, and see for each one how well evidenced it is and which sources say so.

Marine first. Engines, drives and onboard systems are where the catalogue data is strongest, so that is where we start. Industrial and RV follow, and we will say plainly how thin the coverage is in each rather than implying it is even.

How every cross will be graded

A confident wrong answer is worse than no answer, because a wrong part gets installed. So the strength of a match will be part of the match — not a footnote under it. This is the grading standard the catalogue is being built to, and nothing is being graded yet:

Catalogued Two independent sources catalogue them as the same item, or the manufacturer publishes the supersession. Both sources named.
Published One published source lists it as a replacement. One source, not corroborated.
Spec match Matched on published specifications. No source lists this as a replacement. Check it against your machine before you buy.
Shop-reported Someone in the trade told us. We haven't checked it.
Retracted We published this cross and it was wrong. Don't use it. We'll say so plainly, and we'll tell anyone we told.
